It comes after Amber was forced to defend using the Black Lives Matter hashtag on a glamorous photograph of herself.

The TV personality took to her Instagram Stories to explain her decision after she was left ‘heartbroken’ over the death of George Floyd, who was killed in Minnesota after a police officer drove his knee into the back of his neck during arrest.

Amber came under fire after using the Black Lives Matter hashtag on a glamorous Instagram snap, with her followers calling it ‘tacky’, ‘tasteless’ and ‘insensitive’.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Newcastle-based reality star explained that she saw the photo had ‘good reach’ within minutes so used the hashtag in a bid to raise awareness of Floyd’s death as she thought fans would click on it.

Yet before Amber could share her reason for using the hashtag in the comments section of her snap, she came under fire from angry fans who branded her ‘awful’.

The TV personality insisted that it wasn’t about her glamorous photo and her main goal was to raise awareness about Floyd’s death and the Black Lives Matter hashtag.

In a collection of heartfelt videos, she said: ‘I’ve literally spent my whole day heartbroken and thinking about this whole situation in America with George Floyd, it has broke my heart.

‘I was watching videos and seeing what other people were posting, I was just really upset, I didn’t know what to say, post or anything.

‘I just see too much of it and it’s really upsetting, then I had a photo to post to Instagram anyway, so I posted that photo. I saw it was getting good reach in a couple of minutes.

‘I thought, you know what, I’m going to put Black Lives Matter and get people to click on the hashtag.  It’s going to go far and wide. People are going to look at the thing and the story.

‘I was going to comment underneath my photo explaining why I put it on. Straightaway, in the comments, I noticed people were saying ‘wow, so tacky, tasteless and insensitive’.

‘Me being me, I was just thinking, ‘You know what, I’ll take what you said on board, you’re from America, you feel strongly about it. Maybe it is insensitive.’

‘Even though it was nothing to do with the fact it was a glam photo, it was just getting a good reach and my main thing is awareness and getting some action done about it.’

She added: ‘I didn’t have any plan in mind of anything I wanted to post regarding the situation. I just wanted to say sorry if I offended anyone, it always comes from a  good place and I will talk about it.

‘It’s just really raw at the minute. I just hate it and can’t talk about it properly as I get so vexed, angry and upset. I can’t articulate myself properly. So yeah, it is what it is.’

Amber revealed that she had been ‘attacked’ by one follower in particular who called her ‘awful’ but they were able to talk it out.

She explained: ‘I said we’re both on the same side, what are we fighting for, there’s nothing for us to fight about. Basically, anyone who knows me, I post on Instagram once a week and YouTube once a year.

‘I don’t care about clout or anything like that, I was literally just thinking, ‘Wow, this is getting a lot of attention,’ so I just put it so people would click on it and see the information.

‘I guess I was wrong, I feel much better about it now, we came to a conclusion and she understands where I was coming from.’
