It was the edgy, fast-paced theme song that set the tone for the hit competition series, America’s Next Top Model.

Not only that, but Moniece, 33, insists residuals from the song continue to pay her bills.

Sharing a snippet of her residual check onto her Instagram stories, Moniece shared the story of how she landed the gig.

Moniece had just finished high school when her father helped her get the lucrative job.

‘More America’s Next Top Model Money… “YOU WANNA BE ON TOP” My dad is better than yours,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘My dad got me the gig to sing the theme song for the show fresh outta high school and it still pays the bills. Thank you daddy.’

The track has undergone several reinventions since the show debuted in 2003, but attributes of the original song have remained in place.

America’s Next Top Model remains one of the most recognizable shows in reality television, 17 years after premiering on UPN.

The show last aired cycle 24 in 2018, but long-time host and creator Tyra Banks initially thought it would only last for two seasons when she first began filming.

‘I knew it would be successful, meaning I thought there would be two seasons in America and then it would be over, but I didn’t understand TV and I thought that would be great,’ she told EW.com in 2017.

‘But now we’ve got 24 seasons, and the American version is in 150 countries or something? It’s crazy!’

Despite it’s success, the series has not been without controversy, and earlier this year came under fire for problematic content which included a blackface shoot and having a grieving contestant pose in a casket.
