Lisa Snowdon looks radiant in yellow floral printed dress

Lisa Snowdon cut a glamorous figure as she attended the TRIC Awards 2020 at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday.

The model, 48, looked radiant as ever as she walked the red carpet at the event where she told MailOnline about her impending nuptials to fiancé George Smart.

Asked how her wedding plans were going, Lisa admitted: ‘They’re not! We are very much in love and together just been rubbish at organising things. So yeah, I don’t know.’

For the event, Lisa donned a bright yellow long-sleeved floral printed dress with structured shoulders.

The garment also featured a daring leg split while the former Britain’s Next Top Model host added height to her frame with a pair of black ankle boots.

Letting her brunette locks fall loose down her shoulders, Lisa completed her look for the event with a pair of hoop earrings.

The TV star, who is a regular on This Morning, caught up with her colleague Eamonn Holmes at the event as they posed for a snap together on the red carpet.

It comes after Lisa revealed she often feels ‘sad’ seeing families on Instagram after deciding to not have children – but says she enjoys the ‘freedom’ it brings her lifestyle.

Lisa, who is unable to conceive naturally, told Closer magazine that she discussed having children through IVF with George shortly after they became engaged.

They ultimately chose not to go through the ‘tough process’ of fertility treatment.

And while Hertfordshire-born Lisa insisted she couldn’t be happier with entrepreneur George, there are times when it’s difficult to see other people with their children on social media.

Speaking about how she decided against going down the route of IVF, she told the magazine: ‘I knew I was well into my 40s and it would be a tough process and I very much enjoyed the freedom our lifestyles gave us.

‘Although I have moments when I feel sad seeing Instagram pages with pictures of other people’s kids, I’m a realist. But I feel so blessed that I’ve met George and I really couldn’t be happier with how things are’.

The TV presenter, who had a fertility test when she was 39 which showed her chances of becoming pregnant would be low, admitted she had even considered freezing her eggs.

But after thinking long and hard about children, her Yorkshire-born partner told her he ‘just wanted to be with her’.

She told the magazine: ‘We discussed alternative ways to do it and he said “Do you know what? I want to be with you. It’s about me and you”.’

Lisa has previously opened up about having children and earlier this month posted a message on Instagram revealing she sometimes craves ‘a family of my own’, despite admitting ‘it is too late’ for her to have her own children.

She told MailOnline: ‘I didn’t have kids and that decision was made for me. I wasn’t with the right people so I didn’t want to bring a child into a relationship where I wasn’t happy or would have to do it by myself.

‘I’m quite fortunate that I came to terms with not having my own family but that doesn’t stop me when looking at Instagram.

‘It didn’t happen for me. It’s too late for me. I’ve come to terms with that. I’m sad for people that can’t come to terms with it, my heart breaks for them. It’s the maternal instinct that will never go.’

Lisa is really close to her nephews and nieces; Filey, eight, Willow, six, Rudie and Sidney, both three, and six-month-old Stella, and loves that she can give them back to their parents at the end of the day.

‘Finley is eight, Willow is six and Ruthie is three. I don’t feel childless because I get all the fun stuff and then I can give them back.

‘They’re a nightmare to get out the house when we have a time frame. I feel very lucky I have that fix.

‘I don’t think I could love them anymore if I’d had them and birthed them. I love them so much.’

‘I’m with my sister and her kids a lot. George’s brother has two gorgeous little girls aged three and six months.

She advises other women in her situation to ‘get amongst your friends’ kids’ for ‘cuddles, connection and love’.

The model and presenter first dated George years ago when they both worked for MTV, but it wasn’t until the pair were reintroduced to each other through a mutual friend four years ago that their relationship was rekindled.

In January 2017, the couple announced they were engaged after 14 months of dating.
