Lisa Kudrow set to reunite with cast of The Comeback on Stars In The House

Valerie’s back! Lisa Kudrow set to reunite with cast of The Comeback on Stars In The House

The cult comedy lasted for just two seasons, with nine years between them, leaving little hope to fans they would ever get to see Friends star Lisa Kudrow in The Comeback, ever again.

But it’s time to put your prayer hands together and scream, ‘I got it!’ because Valerie Cherish has found a way back into the spotlight once again.

On Friday, it was revealed that Lisa will be reuniting with the cast and creators of the HBO show, to stage an epic comeback of their own to support The Actors Fund on Stars In The House.

It’s ANOTHER comeback! Lisa Kudrow pictured as her cult character Valerie Cherish on the HBO show The Comeback… which she will reunite the cast and crew for in a new special

The show will be streaming live on Tuesday, July 21st at 8 PM ET on the Stars In The House YouTube channel and on starsinthehouse.com.

Kudrow, who co-created the show and received two Emmy nominations for her performance as fading sitcom actress-turned-reality star Valerie Cherish, will reminisce with co-creator, Emmy-nominated director and executive producer Michael Patrick King.

Also reuniting from the show are Dan Bucatinsky (Executive Producer/Billy), Laura Silverman (Jane), Lance Barber (Paulie G), and Damian Young (Mark) over the making of the cult hit.

Sadly though, there will be no Mickey Deane. Val’s adorable and fiercely loyal hairdresser was played by actor Robert Michael Morris who passed away in 2017 at age 77.

Fans tuning in can ask questions in real time and donate to The Actors Fund for the chance to have their names read on air.

‘This is a dream come true for me and Seth [Rudetsky],’ James Wesley said in a press release. ‘We have watched the entire series at least three times and we’re so thrilled that we’re going to talk to the incredible creators and cast.’

Adds Seth: ‘The superb writing, the brilliant comedic acting, the heart underneath it all and the amazing theme exploring the bizarreness of pop culture…it all combined to create one of our absolute favorite TV shows ever! Everyone must watch! To misquote Valerie Cherish: You do need to see this!’

The Comeback joins the incredible lineup of casts that Seth and James have brought back together to sing, share stories, and raise money to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
