Linda Lusardi joins Hayley Tamaddon and Chris Hughes in chilly Blackpool ahead of their first day of training for The Real Full Monty On Ice

Linda Lusardi led the arrivals in Blackpool on Thursday as the stars of forthcoming show The Real Full Monty On Ice prepared for their first full day of training.

The former glamour model, 62, has signed up for the fundraising TV show, which aims to raise cancer awareness, after falling critically ill with COVID-19 in March.

Arriving at the Ice Arena on Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Linda – who has since fully recovered from the virus –  was in high spirits as she readied herself for a day on the rink.

With temperatures decidedly chilly on the Lancashire coast she dressed appropriately in a quilted jacket while ferrying a large suitcase inside the popular venue.

Joining Linda, fellow competitor Hayley Tamaddon, 43, looked equally warm in a fleece lined coat as she greeted onlookers with a cheerful thumb’s up.

The former Coronation Street star was closely followed by Chris Hughes, who shrugged off the cold in a black T-shirt after arriving at the rink.

The show is close to the ex Love Island contestant’s heart, with Chris previously raising awareness for testicular cancer by undergoing an intimate examination for the disease on daytime show This Morning.

By sheer coincidence, the 27-year old’s brother Ben was diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly afterwards, but has since made a full recovery.

Other stars to attend the training session on Thursday included This Morning’s resident medical expert Dr. Zoe Williams, Loose Women panelist Coleen Nolan and Diversity dancer Sam Craske.
