Liam Neeson flick Blacklight is set to film in Canberra and they are looking for extras  

Liam Neeson has been in Australia filming his new action flick Blacklight in Melbourne’s outer suburbs since early November.

But, for four days next week, the film will be shooting a car chase sequence in Canberra, and they are looking for extras.  

According to the ABC, several streets in the Australian capital city will shut off to film the action packed scene. 

The four days of filming is set to bring more than $1 million in revenue and many jobs including work for extras.

Those who are interested in applying for an extra role can register through Film Plus. 

Unfortunately for fans, the Taken star himself will not be present in Canberra during filming as he has already returned to the United States.   

According to the publication, Liam’s stunt double will replace him in the scene and it will mark the end of filming.  

Screen Canberra Chief Executive Monica Penders told the ABC: ‘His stunt double, also from the United States, will have to go back to America soon [which is] why filming has to happen now.’ 

‘This is the last scene that they’re doing.’   

Last month, the film’s producer Paul Currie said Liam wasn’t able to do any sightseeing in Australia during his visit due to strict COVID-safe protocols on set.  

‘He hasn’t had time to go out to restaurants or anything like that, and we can’t let him out anyway,’ Currie told The Age.   

Liam was seen on the set of the film in November, wearing a protective face mask to limit the spread of COVID-19 as he stepped out of his trailer to meet an awaiting film crew.

The star also spent two weeks in hotel quarantine in Sydney after arriving from overseas.
