Laura Whitmore and beau Iain Stirling do ballroom routine as they recreate Footloose in lockdown

They teamed up earlier this year for the first ever series of winter Love Island.

And Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling showed they were perfectly in sync as they showcased their dance moves in a fun TikTok video on Wednesday.

The presenter, 34, and her voiceover artist boyfriend, 32, recreated the iconic dance routine in 1984 film, Footloose as they shimmied for the camera.

Love Island star Laura displayed her sultry moves and incredible legs in a pair of denim hotpants, paired with a tie-dye sweater as she danced to Kenny Loggins’ Footloose.

Shaking her hips as a cool, calm and collected Iain leaned against a wall behind her, the star looked in good spirits as she filmed.

Iain then grabbed Laura by the hand with the pair uniting for a slick ballroom routine, with the hunk twirling the blonde beauty.

Laura captioned the video: ‘Been on tik tok a week! And loving the positivity. Just hit 100k thanks.’

Last week Laura enlisted the help of Iain to clear out her closet for charity in a funny video she shared with fans on Instagram on Friday.

The Irish presenter revealed she had turned to organising her wardrobe to get her through being stuck indoors, especially as it gives her the perfect excuse to buy something new.

In the short, but hilarious clip, Iain is heard narrating and begins: ‘Laura’s at home having a clear out.’

As the camera pans to Laura, who is casually dressed in denim dungarees, standing in front of her wardrobe, she jokes: ‘Oh, I didn’t even see you there.’

She says: ‘I’m just lounging around and decided to do a little bit of a clear out, as we have a bit of extra time on our hands. I’ve been looking online on eBay to get a few bits, so I need to make some space.’

‘I need to make space to buy some shoes,’ she adds, before cracking up as Iain shouts: ‘But which shoes are we going to choose?’

He then goes through her wardrobe picking out which of Laura’s fancy footwear should get the boot, much to her disagreement, before Laura turns the tables on him and suggests giving away a pair of his bright yellow brogues.

‘I wonder how much I’ll get for them,’ she teases.

Laura captioned her video: ‘Nothing better than a wardrobe clear out to clear the mind! I‘ve created an @ebay_uk pile, so ya know I have space and an excuse to buy something new online! I’ve also found something of Iain‘s ;)! Is anyone else having a sort-out/ de-clutter as they’re stuck inside?’

The blonde beauty’s Instagram post comes after MailOnline exclusively revealed that bosses at ITV are keen to go ahead with Love Island’s summer series, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

The outbreak of Covid-19 has caused havoc for their entertainment industry, with many festivals and music gigs cancelled as a precautionary measure.

Movies have seen their release dates pushed back and production halted, while TV shows have also been postponed as a result.

There were concerns that Love Island would be forced to cancel its summer series, due to filming taking place overseas in Majorca, but sources say the Love Island team are committed to making sure that doesn’t happen.

‘The team are still committed to the series airing this summer. The show will go on,’ a TV source said.

‘Production on Love Island have been told the upcoming series is still scheduled to take place but the show will launch a month later in July.

‘All the usual preparations are going ahead.’

‘Potential islanders are still being approached as it can take weeks to recruit the right cast.

‘Bosses are desperate for the show to remain in the hearts of viewers after the winter series was tainted with sadness following Caroline Flack’s tragic passing.

Final decisions will be made closer to the time but for now, it’s all systems go.’

Love Island host Caroline Flack died by suicide in February, while the winter series was still on air.

The show paid tribute to Caroline following her passing and again honoured the star, who died aged 40, during its finale with Laura delivering the tribute live on air.

She was praised for her presenting efforts, given the circumstances, and it was reported Laura had landed a £1million deal to return to Love Island for its summer series.

Laura, however, has said it is still ‘too early’ for her to think about returning to Love Island.

Speaking to Grazia, Laura revealed: ‘I haven’t even thought about the next series yet, to be honest.’

She said: ‘I really enjoyed doing series six, but it was very difficult. It had huge highs, huge lows.

‘For a lot of people who worked on [Love Island] we all need a bit of time away from the show to just reflect and look after our own selves and self-care.’

Love Island’s winter series was won by Paige Turley and boyfriend Finley Tapp.

Laura had stepped in last minute to replace Caroline, after she stepped down from her Love Island hosting duties last year, following her arrest over allegedly assaulting boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Lewis chose not press charges, but the Crown Prosecution Service made the decision to go ahead with Caroline’s trial.
