But the Academy Award winner is enjoying plenty of quality time with her family as they isolate together.
She rocked a cool mom look Wednesday as she stepped out with son Ellery to run some errands in their Brentwood, California neighborhood.

The 53-year-old donned a black and white Kamala Harris baseball cap with a white ‘merci’ t-shirt.
She complemented the look with some skintight black leggings, an orange sweater wrapped around her waist, black sneakers and a pair of wayfarers.
Dern took precautions against the coronavirus with a black floral face mask and a pair of disposable protective gloves.
She shares son Ellery, 18, and daughter Jaya, 15, with ex-husband Ben Harper, 50, to whom she was married from 2005 to 2013.

She posted some photos last week to Instagram of a peaceful protest taking place in Los Angeles.
Dern joined a huge crowd as she took a knee with Ellery, showing solidarity with the demonstration.
It comes after they took to Instagram to celebrate his high school graduation from home amid quarantine.
The proud mother-of-two posed with Ellery in his blue cap and gown, writing: ‘My boy’s day!! Happy Graduation, amazing Ellery! Class of 2020!!!!!!!!’
