Kristin married Jay in 2013 and they share four-year-old daughter Saylor as well as two sons, seven-year-old Camden and six-year-old Jaxon.

She shared: ‘I mean with my kids it’s like: “all right, what should we do today? And we’ve like maxed out every creative idea.”

Referring to her jewelry line she shared that ‘Monday through Friday I’m still running Uncommon James and so we’re doing you know, virtual, like, video calls and all that stuff. But there is a sense of having to stay on top of everything in that way.’

Kristin spilled: ‘But it’s nice because I used to wake up at 5am every morning, work out, and then I would get my kids ready for school, take them to school and then go to the office. And it’s like I haven’t set an alarm since all of this has been going on.’

She confessed with a laugh: ‘I’m like: “That’s gonna be really hard for me to get back into. I don’t know that I can go back to that 5am lifestyle.”‘

The Very Cavallari star explained that ‘‘cause of my kids I get up between, anywhere between like 6:30 and 8. And I don’t normally let my kids sleep with me but I have been rotating my kids for the last week and when Saylor sleeps with me – we literally slept until 8 o’clock the other morning. I was like: “Whoa!”‘

She gushed that ‘it’s cute, but like those are the moments that’ll never be the same. Like we’ll never get those back, you know? So in that sense I’m just trying to like really enjoy that time with my kids.’

Alongside the heartwarming family time is the fact that ‘the no school thing is tough’ as she is ‘attempting to’ educate her children at home.

‘Saylor’s so young, luckily I don’t have to really do it for her. But with the boys I’m like: “God.” Like, Jaxon will not listen to me and he refuses to do work and I’m like: “I cannot fight with you about doing schoolwork! It’s too hard!”‘ she said.

At the start of the lockdowns the school ‘literally sent out a schedule that was like 9-3 and I was like: “I can’t. I literally like I can’t do it!”‘

She has maintained a routine of ‘flashcards with Jaxon that I do,’ and ‘I have him like write sentences and stuff like that. It’s nothing major.’

Kristin allowed that ‘my boys are seven and six so it’s not the end of the world if they’re not sitting here doing schoolwork everyday.’

Jay has agreed to pick up the tab for health, vision and dental insurance but neither he nor Kristin is asking each other for child support money at the moment.

The arrangement comes after a legal fight in which he asked for primary custody and then she insisted he was refusing to leave their $4.2 million Nashville home.

Sources told DailyMail.com that Jay’s ‘rude and dismissive’ treatment of ‘her, their family, friends and fans’ contributed to his split from Kristin.

‘He’d always be in a bad mood and closed off. There was ice running through his veins and he’d couldn’t have been colder or more distant,’ one insider shared.
