Kissing Booth star Joey King ‘is being sued by driver who claims he has sustained injuries and damage to his car’ after nasty crash involving actress

Kissing Booth star Joey King is reportedly being sued by a driver following a collision earlier this year.

According to TMZ, Parviz Mohammady has launched a legal case against the actress, 21, claiming he sustained damage to the right side of his car and suffered injuries as a result of the crash on February 13.

Parvis’ lawyer Kamelia Jalilvand alleges Parvis was driving northbound in Los Angeles when Joey pulled out of a metered parking space and merged into his lane, which led to the collision.

In photos obtained by the publication, the driver’s side of Parvis car is dented towards the rear door as well as scuff marks being visible across the body of the car.

According to his lawyer Kamelia, a pre-existing condition has made the injury worse and he requires surgery.

Parvis claims he still hasn’t received compensation from the actress for the collision and so has launched the lawsuit.

His lawyer told TMZ, ‘Due to the collision, Mr. Mohammady sustained significant injuries, which necessitated surgical intervention. We hope that through the lawsuit, Ms. King will accept responsibility and compensate our client for his damages.’

MailOnline has contacted Joey’s representative for comment.

Joey has been riding high recently on the success of her recent Netflix romantic comedies The Kissing Booth and its sequel from this year, but she’ll soon star in a more high-profile film.

The actress, who won the People’s Choice Award for Comedy Movie Star this week for her Kissing Booth 2 role, is set to star with Brad Pitt in the upcoming thriller Bullet Train.

On Friday, Deadline reported that The Perks Of Being A Wallflower star Logan Lerman had joined the already stacked cast.

So far, details on the film’s plot are almost nonexistent, and it’s unknown what character he’ll be playing.

Logan recently starred in the psychological literary thriller Shirley, about The Haunting Of Hill House author Shirley Jackson, which also stars Elisabeth Moss, Michael Stuhlbarg and Odessa Young.

Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Michael Shannon and Andrew Koji have all been previously announced as cast members.
