Katie Price reveals she is in ‘so much agony’ as she has her leg casts sliced open

Katie Price has revealed she is in ‘so much agony’ after medics sliced open the casts moulded on her legs ready for her operation, after breaking both her feet and ankles. 

The former glamour model, 42, suffered the injury in a freak accident while on holiday in Turkey last month with beau Carl Woods, 31, and her children Princess, 13, and Junior, 15. 

The mother-of-five described how she had undergone a Covid-19 test ready for her operation this week as doctors warned she ‘must take her recovery seriously or she could risk losing a leg’.

Katie filmed her pink and purple glittery casts on her Instagram Stories where she described her severe discomfort. 

‘So after another hospital trip today I had to do my Covid test again obviously because I haven’t got it and I am having my op this week,’ she said.

‘And as you can see they had to slice through my casts ready for my operation on my poor feet. So much agony, so much agony.’ 

It comes after Katie was said to have been left ‘terrified’ after her surgeon’s stark warning that she ‘must take her recovery seriously or she could risk losing a leg’.

She has been told she may not walk for over a year and requires major surgery – but medics are concerned about how prone Katie has been to infections after previous operations.   

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie’s doctors have warned her she must take her recovery seriously and it’s left her terrified.  

‘She’s prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.

‘She’ll have to be so, so careful – she’ll have medical professionals on call 24/7 – and change the dressings regularly. She’s got a long road ahead of her.’ 

When contacted by MailOnline, a representative for the star said : ‘Katie I can confirm will be undergoing major surgery this week to correct her injuries sustained on her recent holiday to Turkey.’

Despite her health woes, Katie is currently loved up with new man, Carl Woods, although he was not with her when she was pictured out in Surrey on Tuesday. 

Katie looked a little down in the dumps as a friend wheeled her in her chair, showing off her pink and purple glittery casts. 

It’s clear that despite everything Katie has been going through, she’s determined to keep an optimistic outlook.

Katie recently explained she broke her ankles and feet during a ‘silly accident’ while on holiday with her beau Carl and her kids Princess and Junior.

Taking to her YouTube channel, the star explained: ‘Silly me, at my age, should calm things down. Basically, silly little accident. I was running and jumped over a wall, as it was a little shortcut, and didn’t really judge the height. 

‘I just sort of fell funny on my ankles and I fractured the hairline on my heels and stuff. The hospital here wanted to operate and wanted to put pins in and stuff. Because I’m away, I’d rather wait until I get home.’ 

She continued: ‘It’s the most painful thing ever. Like when I was trying to put the cast on, I was screaming in pain. They said I won’t be able to walk for three to six months.’ 

Katie was rushed to A&E in Turkey last week for emergency surgery after doctors realised the extent of her horrific injuries. 

The TV personality had to spend a night in hospital after fracturing both ankles after she jumped off a wall at the holiday theme park, Land Of Legends.

According to doctors, she will need pins in her feet which will undoubtedly be another agonising experience.

Katie thought she might have to cut her holiday short to head home with her Love Island beau, Carl.

However, she decided to endure the pain and ride it out in Turkey for the sake of her children so that they could enjoy the rest of their holiday.   

Carl has been by Katie’s side throughout the ordeal, and as they arrived back home on Wednesday it’s been revealed the smitten pair are planning to move in together.

A representative for Katie confirmed the plans, explaining: ‘As Katie is temporarily wheelchair-bound, something no one could have foreseen, she has voiced the possibility of looking for a property that would work better for her wheelchair access and mobility scooter.

‘Carl as Katie’s carer would be living with her. There is a lot to consider: Katie’s rehabilitation, the children, school, respective family, work commitments.

‘Essex would be a probable location – Katie however remains in her current rented property in Surrey.’  

Earlier this week Katie slammed trolls who accused her of faking her injury – as her daughter Princess claimed her mother won’t walk properly for a year.

Taking to an Instagram video, the mother and daughter addressed those who have accused them of lying – after one troll claimed Katie was in fact abroad having bunion surgery.

‘By the way, someone said on my Instagram, ”Oh she has had bunions done on both feet!” 

‘Well, when I have the X-rays and show you, I haven’t had bunions, I have never had bunions in my life!’ Katie insisted. 

Princess then chimed in, saying: ‘She’ll be in a wheelchair for three to six months – but she won’t walk for a year!’ 

Katie has been prone to infections in the past. She famously risked getting sepsis while in the Big Brother house back in 2015 after corrective surgery got infection, leaving an open wound. 

And face surgery last year also became infected, which she documented on her Quest Red reality show, Katie Price: My Crazy Life.
