The dream of selling her mansion in Elwood, Melbourne, is O-V-A-H for Kath & Kim star Jane Turner.

The 59-year-old, who starred in and co-wrote the ABC comedy series with Gina Riley, has decided to take her property off the market.

This comes after the actress listed the five-bedroom home with a $7.3 to $8million price guide back in May.

Despite the home receiving plenty of interest and ‘high-level offers’, Chisholm & Gamon director Sam Gamon told Realestate.com that Jane and her husband John Denton have decided to keep the property.

‘The owners have decided they will move back in,’ he said.

‘They’re certainly in love with the home, so they just decided they wanted to keep it, and we respect their decision.’

According to the Herald Sun the couple bought the home for $802,500 back in 1997, before they decided to move to Paris in 2018.

The Tiuna Grove property features an expansive outdoor pool and a well-maintained garden, which is overlooked by a value-adding extension.

It was extended in the early 2000s by architecture firm Jackson Clements Burrows, connecting the original house to old stables at the rear with a modern extension featuring timber ceilings for a rustic touch.

Despite the modern enhancements, Jane kept the late 19th century heritage features including a stained glass window and a covered verandah with Victorian lacework.

The home also features a rumpus, living room, dining area, study, formal dining room, library and lounge, all spread across the lower level.

Debuting on the ABC in 2002, Kath & Kim remains one of Australia’s most popular sitcoms and is still watched by fans worldwide.
