The star has partnered with Ariel Active All-in-1 Pods to help the nation feel unbeatable with the Ultimate Ferdinand Fitness Challenge, exercising is something which helps her anxiety.

Kate told MailOnline: ‘I think anxiety, personally for me, is something that will always be there, it comes and goes. Sometimes it’s heightened, sometimes it’s not high. I think that’s for me, just more on a daily basis it will be different.

‘It has been here in lockdown but it passes, I just think it’s something that I will struggle with but I’ve got to learn how to manage it.

‘I think for some people it would be super high in lockdown just because of the change and not being able to see friends and family. Feeling trapped, that sort of thing.

‘But for me, it comes and goes from week-to-week sort of thing and different levels.’

Talking about things that help her, Kate said: ‘Fitness, walking, just taking some time to myself. I’m an only child, so I’m used to being on my own. Sometimes even just going for a walk on your own, having a half hour to yourself.

‘I have a method of tapping on your pressure points, which helps calms you down. It’s loads of little things that I’ve learnt along the years that I use to help me. I think everyone is different but that is what I use.’

Kate revealed that the family have enjoyed going on long walks together and it’s a tradition they want to continue after lockdown ends.

She said: ‘We’ve been going on walks. We always did go on walks but more family walks with the dogs. We’ve really enjoyed doing that.

‘I feel like sometimes it’s the little things that are actually sometimes the most enjoyable. So going on nice long walks and just spending time together as a family and making time to do things.

‘Sitting down, watching a movie together, just little things really rather than getting caught up in every day life and running around constantly where you’re not spending enough quality time together.’

She added: ‘It really puts life into perspective, what’s important and what isn’t, what you can live without. I do think it’s been good for everyone but I am ready for it to be over.’

Kate has also enjoyed working out more with husband Rio and the couple have even launched their own Ferdinand Fitness YouTube channel.

She said: ‘We love working out together, it’s something we do three or four times a week at the moment. We just need to get the cameras out and to record it really.

‘We will definitely be doing some more of them. We haven’t been recording as many but we will definitely be doing that. We love working out and it’s nice to be able to share that with other people as well.’

She added: ‘It’s really nice to be able to give back to people if they can’t get out or can’t afford to go to the gym or anything like that.’

Kate announced she is expecting her first child last week and shared a sweet video where she sat down with Rio’s three children — Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine — to tell them the news.

The star revealed that she is feeling ‘tired’ but ‘listening to her body’ during her pregnancy.

Talking about how her energy has changed since becoming pregnant, she said: ‘I think being pregnant it does change, you are a bit more tired at times but I try to stay active as it’s good for my mind.

‘We go for walks with the family, stuff like that, it doesn’t always have to be crazy exercise just as long as you’re moving more than you’re sitting, you still feel good.’

Speaking about whether her fitness regime will change now she’s pregnant, Kate said: ‘I think you have to be really careful, take advice from professionals. I definitely don’t think it can stay the same, it has definitely changed.

‘I’m working out at a lot slower pace and taking it easy, listening to my body really.’

Kate also revealed that there could be a potential for future pregnancy workouts to help any of her followers who are also expecting a child.

She said: ‘Potentially in the future… obviously I’m not a personal trainer and I’m not qualified in that. It will just have to be the right advice going forward.

‘At the moment, I’m a bit quiet on social media, I’m just enjoying my time with the family and things like that before lockdown goes crazy again.’

Kate has partnered with Ariel Active All-in-1 Pods to help the nation feel unbeatable with the Ultimate Ferdinand Fitness Challenge, which has kept her family motivated.

The star said that it has helped the Ferdinands stay at a steady pace with their fitness during lockdown and they even have a fun in-joke where they smell each other’s clothes after working out.

Kate said: ‘It’s kept us at a steady pace, we’re quite an active family anyway, all the children are into sports. Rio and I love a workout. We were active anyway, I think we always will be.

‘I keep going up to them and smelling their clothes. I go: “Ooh, you’re still smelling good”, it’s a little joke in the family. We’re just all laughing that we smell good,’ she added: ‘It’s a win-win situation!’
