Kanye West appears to be working on new Foam RNNR as Yeezy employee paints prototype in parking lot

Kanye West found himself in the billionaires club last year, mostly thanks to his footwear brand Yeezy.

The 21-time Grammy winner has since dropped the brand’s most controversial shoe yet, with the surprise release of the Foam RNNR in June. 

He appears to be working on a new Foam RNNR, as a Yeezy employee was spotted spray-painting a prototype of the sneaker Monday in the parking lot of their Calabasas office.

The employee covered what appeared to be a new version of the style in silver paint, before spraying another deconstructed shoe in orange.

Kanye, 43, surprise dropped the first Foam RNNR back in June, releasing the shoe in a white or ‘Ararat’ colorway.

Made from harvested algae and EVA materials, it features an aerodynamic silhouette with ridges in holes, which has drawn comparisons to Crocs.

Although widely ridiculed online, the shoe first dropped for $75 and his since been spotted on the feet of several celebs, while going on the resale market for as much as $800.

Kanye was spotted for the first time in months this weekend, as he deplaned Sunday at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles, after holing up at his Cody, Wyoming ranch.

It comes amid multiple reports that wife Kim Kardashian, 40, has been meeting with divorce lawyer Laura Wasser in recent weeks, as a source tells People of Kanye: ‘He is talking to divorce lawyers this week.’

He and the SKIMS mogul have been living separately, as their relationship has become ‘downright toxic’ after months of therapy.

A source recently told Us Weekly of their divorce: ‘Kim and Kanye had no option but to live apart in the end because the communication between them had gotten so downright toxic.

Meanwhile, Page Six reported that Kanye’s failed presidential run was ‘the final straw’ for Kim, amid their struggle to make the marriage work. 

A source said that the SKIMS mogul ‘needed to end the marriage for the sake of her kids and her own sanity.’ 

Things seemingly came to a head in July, when Kanye revealed that they almost had an abortion when she was pregnant with North, ultimately sparking rumors of a divorce.
