She is one of Hollywood’s all-time greats who is known for her age-defying glamour.

And Joan Collins looked incredible as she slipped into a feathered ballgown for a fun snap on Wednesday, in which two assistants put her shoes on for her.

The Dynasty star, 87, brought her signature old Hollywood sense of glamour in a black crushed velvet off-the-shoulder ballgown, which boasted dramatic white feather detail.

The star paired this with matching velvet gloves and shimmering silver jewellery as she posed.

Joan completed the look with silver studded stilettos, which her assistants put on ahead of the shoot.

She opted for her trademark bouffant hairstyle and sported smoky shadow and scarlet lipstick for the shoot.

She captioned the snap: ‘Who puts their own #shoes on during a #photoshoot ?? #diva #handmaidens … or #footmaidens in this case!’

Joan has recently started working on a new project, medieval drama series Glow and Darkness alongside TV stars Denise Richards and Jane Seymour.

Since kicking off filming for the project, Joan has shared several behind-the-scenes looks at the drama and posted a few snaps with co-star Lily Cole.

In one picture shared last month, Joan and Lily donned full regal costume, with Joan taking on the role of Queen Adelaide of Maurienne and the model, 32, portraying an as-yet-unrevealed character.

It comes after Joan said that she had become ‘closer than ever’ to her husband Percy Gibson following the first coronavirus lockdown in March.

The actress – who married the producer in 2002 – revealed that having to spend more time together has helped their relationship.

Speaking to Hello! magazine from her home in St Tropez in September, she said: ‘Being in lockdown has made me realise how strong our relationship really is.

‘I love entertaining guests at the villa, travelling and socialising, but that changed and because of the restrictions it’s just Percy and me. The great thing is we’re partners in crime, accomplices.

Joan previously declared she’d ‘settle’ at living until she’s 100, and brushed off the age difference between her and Percy.

In an interview in May she mused that ‘people make too much fuss about age, which is just a number.’

Speaking to The Mirror, Joan said: ‘I think there’s a big difference between biological age and the age you’re supposed to be.

‘As you know, Percy is somewhat younger than me. At first people would always say, ‘What are you going to do about the age difference?’ I’d say, ‘Well, if he dies he dies!”
