Joan Collins, 86, joins husband Percy Gibson, 55, for dinner before slipping on loafers in the car

She never fails to look anything short of fabulous when she steps out.

Yet Joan Collins proved comfort is still key, as she kept a pair of Todd’s loafers in the the car when she was picked up from Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood.

The Dynasty actress, 86, teamed her glamorous silk monochrome dress with a pair of white stilettos complete with black detailing on the front on Tuesday evening.

However soon after leaving the popular eatery, Joan appeared to switch her court shoes for a comfier alternative, which were placed in the passenger’s seat footwell.

Joan’s ensemble was complete with a white jacket adorned with a rose broach, while she chose to accessorise with a diamond necklace and floral earrings.

The American Horror Story star wore her raven locks in a bouncy blown out style and sported a dramatic coat of make-up including a slick of purple lipstick.

Joan walked hand-in-hand with her husband of 18 years, who was smartly dressed in a black two-piece suit teamed with a white shirt and pocket square.

Joan and Percy tied the knot in 2002 at Claridge’s Hotel in London, the fifth time walking down the aisle for the star.

In May 2018, the legendary actress revealed her top tip for ‘lasting marriage’ to Hello! – saying that the reason it works is because they ‘really support each other’.

She said: ‘You won’t always agree about everything, but you need to enjoy each other’s company. Percy is such an amazing man, he is so kind and so caring.

‘People get married on the crest of lust. Once that’s gone, they look and think: ‘What the hell? Who is this person?

‘There has to be something else to fall back on. If there isn’t, they start looking.’

Joan’s acting career has spanned more than six decades with her most recent roles being in the hit TV series American Horror Story and Hawaii Five-0.
