Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union play side-by-side on the Bad Boys spin-off series L.A.’s Finest.
And the two Hollywood heavyweights were hard at work while spotted filming season two of their Spectrum original show at a Pasadena, California cemetery on Tuesday afternoon.
The day’s scene proved to be an emotional one, as Alba – who plays LAPD officer Nancy McKenna – could be seen consoling Union’s character before a gravestone.

Emotional: Union’s character was required to shed some tears, as Alba’s character consoled her before a gravestone
The mood of the shoot was a somber one as Union – who plays agent Sydney Burnett – attempted to hold back tears.
The dynamic duo donned all black for the scene, each complete with fitted blazers, slacks, and high-necked tops.
Alba rocked her chocolate brown hair in soft waves that stemmed from a neat middle part.
Union had her plethora of raven toned braids tied back behind her as she acted her way through the scene.
Taking care of business: During a break from shooting, Jessica snuck away from set to take care of some business on her cellphone
All black everything: Alba and Union donned all-black outfits complete with fitted blazers, trousers, and high-neck undershirts
At one point, Jessica knelt down to caress a gravestone in the scene
The pair are filmed walking among the cemetery with grips and cameramen following their every move.
Jessica had a solo moment for the cameras as she knelt before a nearby gravestone.
During a break from shooting, Alba scurried over to a nearby tree to take care of some business on her cell phone.
And Action! The set was hot as grip workers and cameramen paraded around Union and Alba as they acted
Season two: The actress are currently filming season two of their series that premiered in May of last year
L.A.’s Finest premiered in May of 2019 and before the season one finale could even air, Variety confirmed that the show would return for a second season in 2020.
The show, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, follows former DEA agent Sydney Burnett who takes a job with the LAPD where she is partnered up with working mom and officer Nancy McKenna.
Though the lifestyles of Burnett and McKenna could not be more different, they are ‘both are at the top of their field’ and able to come together to secure justice.
Spin-off: L.A.’s Finest is a female spin-off of the hit 2003 film Bad Boys
The day of shooting comes just a week after Union and her husband Dwayne Wade came out in public support of their 12-year-old transgender daughter Zaya.
‘As I’m raising [Zaya], as I’m raising my kids, you just try to put them in the best situations to be able to succeed in life,’ Wade told People on Sunday.
Union announced Zaya’s truth on Twitter and urged parents to ‘love and respect’ their children ‘exactly as they are.’
Wade continued: ‘How I do that, and how me and my wife decide to do that, may be different than another family, but we want them to know there’s always unconditional love, that it will always be support.’
