And Jesse Tyler Ferguson appeared to be taking every precaution to protect his newborn from contracting COVID-19 during a grocery run with Mikita on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Instead order to keep his hands as germ free as possible, the 44-year-old Modern Family star opted to high kick the crosswalk button.

As Jesse let his foot do the dirty work, Justin stood near him with a grocery tote in his hand.
The couple – who wed in 2013 – each donned cloth face masks as they trekked down the sidewalk holding hands.
For their outing, Jesse sported a monochromatic look complete with a plain black tee, a pair of black athletic shorts, and a black ball cap with an emblem embroidered on the front of it.
As for his feet, the actor decided to don a pair of white socks with red, orange, and yellow stripes, and a pair of white Nike sneakers.

Justin covered up his brunette hair with a sunhat and kept casual in a blue tee and a pair of patterned shorts.
Jesse and Justin became first-time fathers last Tuesday.
In a statement to People, a rep for the actor confirmed that the couple ‘welcomed their little bundle of joy Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita on July 7, 2020.
‘The new parents are overjoyed and excited for this new journey as a family-of-three,’ concluded the statement.

Over the weekend, Ferguson fired back at an Instagram troll who took to the comment section to criticize the couple’ choice of baby name.
‘what a stupid name seriously lol,’ wrote the commenter, which prompted Jesse to examining the hater’s own Instagram page.
‘”If we could all just get along as one nation.” -you four posts ago,’ Jesse wrote, showing the commenter’s inherent hypocrisy.
‘Sending love to you sir from us and Beckett,’ he added ironically.

Unfortunately, it was only one of many negative comments on the post, which were mixed in amongst well-wishers leaving congratulatory notes.
Jesse announced his engagement to Justin in September of 2012, after dating for two years.
The duo said their I do’s in New York City on July 20, 2013 with Angels In America playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner officiating the wedding.
