Jersey Shore: Mike Sorrentino enjoys freedom after prison as Jennifer Farley celebrates divorce

Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley both celebrated newfound freedom on Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

The 37-year-old reality star caught up with his roommates at a rental house in New Jersey after serving eight months for tax evasion at the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York.

JWoww, 34, meanwhile marked her divorce from Roger Mathews, 44, becoming official with dinner and a drag show with her friends.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ LaValle, 32, arranged for a party bus to shuttle them around and it decorated with divorce-related graffiti.

‘Tonight is going to be a mess,’ Snooki predicted. ‘And honestly, I’m due for a messy night’.

JWoww was ready to move forward and wore a custom tiara reading ‘Divorced’ and a sash.

‘I am so excited to see drag. If anybody knows me, they know it’s my s***. So the fact that my roommates are doing this, …so excited,’ she said.

Jenni was quickly pulled onto the stage for a lap dance by one of the drag queens.

‘These queens look amazing. They honestly look hotter than us girls,’ said Nicole. ‘And that’s usually how it goes.’

Jenni also gushed about the entertainers as she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

‘I mean, these dancers are f***ing stunning. And the one that’s giving me a lap dance? I am not mad about it,’ she said.

Jenni filed for divorce from Roger in September 2018 after nearly three years of marriage and it was finalized in August 2019.

They share five-year-old daughter Meilani and three-year-old son Greyson together.

Her friends were glad to see JWoww cutting loose after going through the lengthy divorce.

They smiled as she danced around appearing carefree among the drag queens. 

‘Jenni has been going through so much. She’s been going through hell. So to see her up on stage, laughing, having a good time, this is why we did this,’ said Vinny Guadagnino, 32.

JWoww earlier in the episode broke down while dealing with child custody arrangements with Roger.

She told Snooki and Deena Cortese, 33, that Roger wasn’t working with her over coparenting issues.

JWoww tearfully told her pals that she doesn’t ‘get the luxury of being the fun parent’ becasue she rarely has her children over the weekend and only sees them for a few hours before and after school.

‘I just really miss them,’ she bawled. ‘I don’t want to go to court again.’

JWoww added in a confessional: ‘I’m coparenting with someone who doesn’t want to work with me and it’s really heartbreaking.’

Mike after spending his first day of freedom with wife Lauren Pesce reunited with his roommates who had plenty of questions about his time in prison.

He told them of an alleged encounter with President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, 53, who started serving a three-year sentence in May for campaign finance violations, tax evasion and lying to Congress.

Paul ‘DJ Pauly D’ DelVecchio, 39, asked Mike if he was ever in an ’emergency lockdown situation’ and he said only when Trump’s attorney arrived to serve his sentence as there were ‘drones and helicopters’ around the facility.

‘The funny thing about it was the most important thing in prison is pretty much food. A lot of the guys will barter, they’ll make deals for food. So when Michael Cohen came in to prison, I heard he didn’t eat chicken. So I went straight up to Michael Cohen and I was like, ”Listen, Mike. I’m going to need you to do something for me”,’ Mike said.

‘It was his first day. He said, ”Anything, Mike, what do you need?” I said, ”I’m going to need you to smuggle chicken for me, out of the main line. Give it to me and I’m going to put it in my locker so I get an extra serving”,’ he recalled. ‘He was like, ”No problem.” Thursday comes around, which is chicken day. Cohen is nowhere to be found. I was like, ”Damn, Cohen was chicken on chicken day!”,’ he told his roommates.

‘He was like, ”Yo man, they know we tryin’ to smuggle chicken”,’ Mike claimed. ‘I was like, ”Alright man, we’re going to reevaluate. The block is hot”,’ Mike said.

Mike was asked about the food and revealed that some of his meals were similar to those depicted in the mob movie Goodfellas.

‘Honestly, we did eat like that sometimes. You needed to know someone, but maybe due to Uncle Nino putting the word out for your boy here, I had this Boston crew looking out for me. They controlled the kitchen and they made sure I ate well,’ Mike said, referencing Vinny’s uncle who promised to put in a good word for Mike.

Mike said ‘the food was not very good’ as he tried to explain the conditions there to his friends.

‘Listen, the conditions in prison as a whole …You’re not sleeping in a comfortable bed, you’re not eating good food, and this is for long periods of time,’ he said.

‘You can see how prison could affect some of the other guys that are there for longer than a year. Because eventually, it starts to eat away at you. And if you don’t work at yourself mentally or physically or spiritually, eventually you’re going to be swallowed up by circumstance,’ Mike added.

He also told how prison guards would find Chinese food in the woods and send inmates caught with phones were put into solitary confinement.

Jenni called Mike a ‘f***ing role model’ for serving his time and coming out fine,

‘He went to jail, he came out positive, it didn’t eat him up, he made it his b**** and he has a f***ing big a** sile on his face You cannot ask for better,’ she said.

The episode also showed Angelina Pivarnick, 33, surprising her friends at the drag show by going up on the stage and asking all of the women, including her sometimes nemesis Jenni, to be bridesmaids at her upcoming wedding.
