Jennifer Lopez appears to flout New York’s 14-day quarantine rules by hitting a Hamptons beach

New York have enacted strict quarantine restrictions on travelers arriving in the state from 19 US states, including California.

But Jennifer Lopez appeared to flout those rules on Wednesday, when the 50-year-old mega star was pictured meditating on a Hamptons beach.

The Executive Order, issued by NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, states that anyone arriving from one of the nominated states ‘must not be in public’ for 14 days following their arrival.

Lopez was photographed boarding a private jet in Los Angeles just last week – well short of the mandated two week quarantine period.  

The Hustlers star sat cross-legged on the white sands of a beach in the upscale community.

And although she wore a face mask, the woman sitting less than six feet away from her did not.

The same day, however, Jennifer was snapped riding her bike in public without any sort of facial covering whatsoever.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Lopez for comment. 

And on Sunday, it was not only the Jenny from the Block hitmaker riding around the beach community, but also family members including her fiance Alex Rodriguez, who had flown with Jennifer on the same private flight from Los Angeles only days prior.

Last Thursday, they were joined for their bicoastal flight by Jennifer’s twins Max and Emme, 12, whom she shares with ex Marc Anthony, as well as Alex’s white lab and her son’s new Goldendoodle puppy. 

And the couple made no secret of their flight plans either, with A-Rod posting about it to social media.

‘One of our passengers was a lil afraid to fly,’ he captioned an Instagram video on Thursday, as he took the dog in his arms and up the jet’s stairs.

The couple had been quarantining in Miami during the pandemic but have been spending the last few weeks in Los Angeles as he couple looked at new homes. 

Last month, Governor Cuomo issued an Executive Order ‘that requires individuals to quarantine for 14 days after traveling for 24 hours or longer within designated states that have significant rates of transmission of COVID-19.’  

Those deemed to be ‘essential workers’ are exempted from the quarantine period.

Travelers are expected to quarantine at home and are not permitted to ‘leave the quarters’ for the duration of the quarantine period.

They must be situated in separate quarters with a separate bathroom facility for each individual or family group.

And food must be delivered to the person’s quarters. 

The United States has so far suffered over 134,000 COVID-19 deaths, with 31,945 of those occurring in New York alone. 

While at home, Jennifer and her retired athlete beau kept themselves busy by filming an al fresco workout for Instagram on Monday.

The sweat session appeared to be a promotion for Presidente beer.

A-Rod nodded to the brand in his caption: ‘Sunday: Football ✅ Family training ✅ Presidente ✅,’ he wrote, along with corresponding emojis.

‘Now it’s a new week, back to work! Let’s go!!! #staysafe,’ he concluded.

Jennifer has famously declared she doesn’t drink alcohol, so was unlikely to partake in the product in question.
