Jamie Oliver’s wife Jools reveals she wants SIXTH child

They welcomed fifth child River in 2016, and were adamant he would be their last child.

But Jamie Oliver’s wife Jools has confessed to considering expanding her family once more in a new interview on fitness podcast, The Red Room.

The former model, 45, who wed Jamie, 44, in 2000, declared ‘ I want to keep going until I can’t’ as she spoke to Barry’s Bootcamp UK’s founder Sandy Macaskill and head trainer Anya Lahiri.

She said: ‘I will probably think about stopping wanting another baby when I am about 47.

‘Jamie says, ‘You can’t put an age on it because you keep on talking about it’ but just one more for River.

‘I want to just stop bugging Jamie. But I feel like I don’t know. I think one more.’

As well as River, three, the couple are also parents to Poppy Honey, 18, Daisy Boo, 17, Petal Blossom, 11, and Buddy Bear, nine.

Discussing the trials and tribulations of being an older mother, having welcomed River at age 41, she said:  ‘I am tired. I  have got teenagers and a lot more to do.

‘When I had Poppy I was 27 and I was focused on her.

‘I could stay at home and be a full-time mum and it was all very lovely.

‘But as you get on, it changes. It’s a lot busier. River has the difficulty of a very large family, so he screams and shouts a lot.

‘He is so over-excited by everything and hyper. He is a different child and I find that quite exhausting.

‘But soon they will grow up and leave and I do worry about that. One is going to go next year. I can’t imagine the first one going.

She added: ‘Jamie and I have grown up together bringing up children.

‘It’s been quite a ride.

Just before Jools gave birth to River, Jamie had previously insisted that baby number five would be the couple’s last.

He said: ‘I mean, it’s just getting ridiculous otherwise. This was not expected, I can’t even believe I’m saying it. I think my own family were like “Really?”

‘I do what I’m told, but she’s an amazing family maker, and I just go with it!’

It comes after Jamie joked that his wife Jools is ‘driving him up the wall’ due to her excessive cleaning during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The TV personality took to Instagram to share a collection of snaps of the duo as he revealed that Jools has also become his ‘camera lady’ for his daily cook show.

Jamie has launched a new series called Jamie: Keep Cooking And Carry On with Channel 4 and he also has his social media show where he cooks with celebrities, his recent video included Oprah.

In the snaps, the star and Jools pulled a series of facial expressions which ranged from smouldering, to serious and laughter.

Jamie penned: ‘This girl drives me up the wall!! but I love her to bits ….she is as mad as a hatter won’t stop cleaning but she’s a gem.

‘And a good girl and now she’s my camera lady doing this daily show on my phone  anyway but love everyone sending positive vibes to all you cooks out there joxxxx @joolsoliver.’

Jamie has helped aspiring chefs for decades with his easy-to-follow recipes, from cookbooks like 5 Ingredients that focuses on making meals with minimal items, to his many different cooking shows.

He catapulted to fame in 1999 at the age of 24 when he was offered his own TV show, The Naked Chef, on the back of his stint working at The River cafe in London.

However, Jamie has had a turbulent past year following 22 of his Jamie’s Italian restaurants closing in May 2019.

Administrators recently revealed that much of the £80million-plus owed by the collapsed Italian chain, launched by the chef in 2008, will probably never be paid back to creditors. This resulted in as many as 1,000 job losses.
