James Van Der Beek’s wife Kimberly says its been ‘tough’ on her body having two blood transfusions

She suffered her second pregnancy loss in seven months on Saturday, June 20.

And on Wednesday, Kimberly Van Der Beek shared a video of herself from her trip to the Emergency Room after she got a blood transfusion.

The 38-year-old star, who is the wife of James Van Beek, wrote that it has been ‘tough’ on her body, having had two blood transfusions in seven months. 

In the video, Kimberly was taking deep breaths as she shivered with her eyes closed.

She wrote: ‘A few seconds from my trip to the ER. Having had two blood transfusions in the last 7 months has been tough on my body. PLEASE if you have NATURAL TIPS to help integrate new blood I’m all ears.’

Kimberly continued: ‘My biggest issues right now is my head hurts (not like a headache-like new blood hurt), and I feel another in my respiratory system creeping up (no I don’t have COVID, I was tested) which also happened after new blood last time.’

Adding: ‘It was a really tough two weeks and I am changing the story this time. I have some incredibly healers in my life but I have also learned some of my favorite and most trusted wellness tips from Instagram.’

Kimberly asked her followers for any tips or advice: ‘Let me know your suggestions if you’ve healed naturally from blood transfusions. (I’ll shared what helps along the way).’ 

The star also took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a snap of a oil of oregano pill bottle with the caption: ‘New blood take a toll on the system. Last time infection took over my body. This time that’s not happening [because] this is my best friend right now.’

Four days ago, James revealed that Kimberly had a miscarriage, her second in the last seven months,’ which occurred on Saturday, June 20.

The 43-year-old actor wrote on the Instagram post: ‘After suffering a brutal, very public miscarriage last November, we were overjoyed to learn we were pregnant. This time, we kept the news to ourselves.’

James continued: ‘But last weekend, once again, 17 weeks in… the soul we’d been excited to welcome into the world had lessons for our family that did not include joining us in a living physical body.’ 

James continued: ‘We rushed @vanderkimberly to the hospital by ambulance for another harrowing night of blood transfusions. And as I stood by, grateful for the good people who navigated the maze of regulations to save her life – but helpless to do much for the woman I loved other than massage her feet and try to keep her warm (with my #DWTS robe, ironically) – something kept running through my head, again and again, which I now feel compelled to share: We’ve got to take better care of each other.’

Last fall, while he was on Dancing With The Stars season 28, James spoke out about their miscarriage that occurred in November 2019 at 17 weeks.

Kimberly and James, who wed in 2010, are parents to five children: Olivia, nine, Joshua, eight, Annabel, six, Emilia, four, and Gwendolyn, two.
