‘I couldn’t be prouder’: Jacqueline Jossa reveals her children Ella, 5, and Mia, 2, were ‘so well behaved throughout’ lockdown

Jacqueline Jossa has revealed her children were ‘well behaved’ throughout the coronavirus lockdown and adapted to the change well.

The former EastEnders star, 27, is mother to daughters Ella, five, and Mia, two, who she shares with her husband Dan Osborne, 29.

She said: ‘The kids have been so well behaved throughout – I really feel for all the little ones who have been stuck at home rather than out playing with their friends and going to school.

‘We’ve gone on walks, we’ve baked, coloured – i’m all home schooled out!’

Jacqueline admitted the worst part of the coronavirus lockdown for her was that the kids weren’t about to have their freedom anymore.

She said: ‘Worst is not being able to let the kids have their freedom! I really felt for them, but they were honestly so so amazing and dealt with it brilliantly. I couldn’t be prouder.

‘Best moment… probably having that time at home that I wouldn’t have had, I came out the jungle and then felt like within a matter of weeks lockdown began, so I think i’ll cherish that time at home.’

The family, which also includes Dan’s son Teddy, six, from a previous relationship, used the lockdown to spend as much quality time together as they could.

Jacqueline said: ‘Lots of sunny days in the garden, we’ve been so lucky with the weather…. making dens and watching movies. We set up a big screen in the garden with bean bags and blankets.’

Jacqueline was kept busy during lockdown, explaining that she worked throughout it and also set herself ‘many challenges’.

She said: ‘When you have two young children, there isn’t much time for hobbies! I worked a lot from home throughout lockdown too – it was a busy time.

‘I think all parents can relate to juggling even at the best of times, lockdown has proved just how busy our lives are. I haven’t set myself many challenges – but I do love working hard.

‘I would love to keep fit, and I’ve got some exciting projects coming up which i’m currently helping bring to life. I think the rest of this year i’ll be grateful for everything that comes my way.’

One of the star’s new ventures is teaming up with Peperami to take part in the brand’s #MeatTheBeat campaign – a series of challenges running across social media until the end of September.

The three challenges will see four celebrities: queen of the jungle, Jacqueline, Britain’s Got Talent stars, Ashely Banjo and Perri Kiely, and football freestyler, Liv Cooke, show the nation what is means to have ‘flava’.

Going head to head with each other and the rest of the nation, the star-studded group hope to start a chain reaction with others joining in on the fun, tagging the brand using the hashtag, with the celebrities facing off on TikTok.

Jacqueline said: ‘I love Tik Tok, after the Jungle my Tik Tok blew up!! I couldn’t believe it…i’ve never considered myself an influencer but I do a lot of work through my Instagram, so it’s interesting now to move over to Tik Tok and take part in projects happening on there.’
