Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals neighbourhood war with Irish ‘lollipop ladies’ in Bondi

‘I’m so sick of these girls!’ Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals hilarious war with the Irish traffic controllers outside of her Bondi Beach apartment

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has unleashed on the female traffic controllers working outside of her multi-million dollar Bondi Beach apartment following a string of run-ins.

The 45-year-old revealed on Monday’s Kyle & Jackie O Show that the Irish workers have been stopping her taxis and couriers from entering her private street.

She laughed as she discussed the hilarious feud, explaining that one controller has even been instructing her drivers to tell her to ‘walk up the street’ to them – rather than collecting her from her building’s entrance, as you’d expect with a taxi.

As the radio hosts discussed traffic controllers, Jackie first questioned ‘why are they always Irish?’ – before then venting about her situation at home in Bondi.

‘They’re paving the road for some reason. It’s crazy to me, but I won’t question the council’s motivations. Only residents are allowed [to drive] on my street and it’s been like that for some time,’ said Jackie, before elaborating on the traffic restrictions.

‘You know me, I get a lot of Uber Eats and the delivery guys get let in [to my street]. But for some reason, a lot of other people don’t get let in.’

The mum-of-one then explained a recent incident where she was waiting for a taxi with daughter Kitty when their driver was refused entry into the street, despite the pair standing at the entrance with lots of bags that they’d struggle to carry.

‘I could see the Uber guy up there, and he called me and said he wasn’t allowed into my street. He told the controller he was picking up a resident, pointed at my garage and said that it’s not that far,’ explained Jackie.

‘[The controller] goes, “No, she can walk up”. I was like, “Are you joking? It’s bloody hot”. I just thought, “Let him in for God’s sake!”. It’s not doing any harm, you’re not digging up the road right now. I copped it, walked up and shook my head at her.

‘She was on the phone talking to a friend and probably didn’t even care.’

Jackie said this isn’t her only run-in with one of the Irish traffic controllers.

‘It’s happening more and more. Another courier couldn’t get through to my street and [the traffic controller] said he’d have to walk up,’ the star continued.

‘I said, “They’re just dropping something off, can’t you just let them through? You let the Uber Eats guy through before. I don’t understand why you’re letting some through and not others”. I’m so sick of these girls, I’m copping grief from them.’

Concluding her rant, Jackie laughed as she claimed she’s ‘never had this problem’ with male traffic controllers before, joking: ‘Bring back the boys, I say!’

Young women are earning up to $100,000 a year with hazard pay and various site allowances as traffic controllers. Four times more than some teachers and nurses.
