‘It’s distressing’: EastEnders’ Hetti Bywater hits out at pub-goers ignoring Boris Johnson’s advice as she dons a face mask amid coronavirus pandemic
Hetti Bywater has hit out at those ignoring Boris Johnson’s advice to not go to pubs as the coronavirus continues to cause havoc in Britain.
The former EastEnders’ actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to film herself walking past her local and admitted she found it ‘distressing’ to see so many people there.
Hetti, 25, who was wearing a face mask and surgical gloves, said: ‘Walking past a pub with loads of people in. It’s a little bit distressing right now.’

She also penned: ‘To all you people asking, no, I don’t have the virus but I’m isolating as much as I can as just because I don’t have symptoms, does not mean I’m not infected.
‘As we aware, many can be carriers, and it can take days to show any signs. So many of us won’t know due to lack of testing.
‘I am staying secluded not for fear for myself but in the hope of keeping others safe.
‘As we all should be trying to do. We need to protect the vulnerable.’
Hetti also uploaded a selfie of herself looking bored and wrote: ‘F*****g quarantine’.

Last year, Hatti admitted she struggled with anxiety.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Just like most people, I suffer with anxiety. Mainly social, and I always need to catch my breath when I’m in London.
‘It occasionally gets a bit much. Especially with all the people. So I take myself back home and spend time outside and listen to what my body and mind need.
‘I get stuck in my own thoughts and feel overwhelmed, needing to re-assess where I am at.’

Safety precautions: As well as her face mask, Hatti ensured she kept her hands covered with surgical gloves

Revealing how she combats her anxiety, she continued: ‘Nature and being still helps me do that and become more mindful. It’s my escapism.
‘I feel much calmer and far more in touch with my emotions. I have definitely needed this recently.’
Hetti is best known for playing EastEnders character Lucy Beale, who was killed off as part of an explosive ‘Who Done It?’ storyline in 2014, which spread out over a year to mark EastEnders’ 30th Anniversary.
Despite a lengthy list of suspects the culprit was eventually revealed to be her brother Bobby, who beat her over the head with a music box.
Hetti even returned for a special one-off episode that flashed back to that fateful night almost a year before, showing the turn of events that eventually led to her tragic death.
