According to a source, things were so tense between Sally, 28, and Erica that they couldn’t even be in the same studio.

In addition to hosting triple j’s breakfast radio show, Sally and Erica, 27, also performed as a hip hop duo under the name, Coda Conduct.

They both addressed the split on their respective Instagram pages last month.

‘Sally and Erica didn’t get axed from triple j. In fact, the show was doing really well. We were getting great feedback across the board – from management and our listeners,’ wrote Erica.

‘Until recently, we were all planning for a 2021 where Sally and Erica would grow and grow… I wanted breaky to continue. I really did, with my whole heart.

‘Unfortunately, the reality was that although Sally and Erica – the show was going great guns, Sally and Erica – the people were coming to the natural conclusion of their 8 year creative ride together.’

Meanwhile, Sally spoke about the end of her radio show without mentioning Erica, choosing to focus on the listeners instead.

‘Every time I’ve had a hard day, you make me laugh. You tell me cool facts and crazy stories and I feel like I’m friends with every single one of you,’ she wrote.

‘I’ve had such an incredible few years at triple j, with so many great memories, and being able to top it all off with Breakfast has been a dream come true.’
