Like a kid in a candy store! Inside LEGO Masters’ stunning colour-coordinated Brick Pit… which contains THREE MILLION pieces of the plastic blocks in every size, shape and shade

LEGO Masters is back and bigger and better than ever, with even more pieces for this year’s contestants to work with.

And now Channel Nine has given fans a glimpse inside the envy-inducing Brick Pit, describing it as ‘an Aladdin’s cave of LEGO wonderment’.

This year’s Brick Pit contains 3million LEGO pieces, up from last year’s 2.5million, and almost every piece is arranged by colour.

There are 60 different shade to choose from, and it took a team of 122 people 1,098 hours to organise the room.

It also contains over 5,000 unique LEGO elements, allowing contestants to bring their visions to life.

In addition to this, the Brick Pit features a massive wall with 9,000 Minifigures meticulously lined up for the show’s participants to inspect and select.

Given the pressures of the show, it’s not unusual for things to get chaotic in the Brick Pit, so there are 30 LEGO sorters whose job it is to make sure everything is organised correctly.

In an interview with Mumbrella on Friday, the show’s host, Hamish Blake said this year’s tasks would be ‘slightly more challenging’ than the previous season.

‘I never don’t get fascinated… knowing what the challenge is, and then seeing the human element of them try to, in a timeframe, pick an idea, come up with the right idea, and then execute it under pressure. It’s cool,’ the 38-year-old comedian said.
