But actress Jane Turner’s mansion in Elwood, Melbourne, is anything but average.

It would be a record-breaking sale for the the affluent seaside suburb, after Jane purchased the home for $802,500 back in 1997, according to the Herald Sun.

The Tiuna Grove property features an expansive outdoor pool and a well-maintained garden, which is overlooked by a value-adding extension.

It was extended in the early 2000s by architecture firm Jackson Clements Burrows, connecting the original house to old stables at the rear with a modern extension featuring timber ceilings for a rustic touch.

Despite the modern enhancements, Jane kept the late 19th century heritage features including a stained glass window and a covered verandah with Victorian lacework.

The home also features a rumpus, living room, dining area, study, formal dining room, library and lounge, all spread across the lower level.

Jane moved to Paris with her husband, lawyer John Denton, in 2018.

Debuting on the ABC in 2002, Kath & Kim remains one of Australia’s most popular sitcoms and is still watched by fans worldwide.
