Iggy Azalea announced that she’s now a mother to a baby boy on Wednesday.
The Australian rapper’s surprise statement on Instagram sent fans into a frenzy, and also caused much confusion as people noticed an odd detail in her post.
Not only did Iggy fail to mention if her rumoured fiancé Playboi Carti is the father, fans are also baffled as to when exactly she was pregnant with the little boy.

Iggy’s statement read: ‘I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes, the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world. I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret and I love him beyond words.’
Whereas most people have assumed rapper Playboi Carti is the father of the child, she failed to mention him in her post. Or even reference a father in general.
The couple first started dating in 2018 and were rumoured to have split after several months. Iggy then hinted they were engaged in July 2019 by flashing a diamond ring when asked about their romance during an interview on The X Change Rate.
However, she failed to ever verbally confirm their engagement after the interview, and it has not been discussed since.

They claimed at the time that she was six months pregnant and the father was Playboi Carter, but had no further details or evidence to back this up.
DJ Akademiks recently claimed that Iggy gave birth at the end of April.
However, throughout the time she is reported to have been pregnant, the rapper has repeatedly shared bikini pictures, showcasing her very flat stomach.
