‘Who knew it was so common?’ Holly Hagan revealed she sought help from a therapist as she stressed about the prospect of death amid her anxiety battle

The reality TV star went make-up free as she detailed how she overcame her fears, stating: ‘I’ve had quite a lot of DMs after the Geordie Shore OG episode last night where I speak about my anxiety around Jacob dying.

‘I got upset when I spoke about it, it’s so weird… you’ll never really understand these thoughts unless you have them, and even then you don’t really understand them. It’s not very nice at all.

‘The amount of people who are going through the same thing but have never heard anyone speak about it before is actually mind-blowing.’

Holly – who frequently details her mental health journey – added: ‘There was one thing that helped me. I went to see a therapist on the show. If I am dealing with this, I might as well be honest about it.

Holly reflected: ‘All these people that I knew were making Facebook groups about me, were writing statuses about me, were shouting things at me in the street and from that point, I don’t think I left the house alone for about two years.’

Her friend, Tom, recalled the effects that online trolling had on Holly and their friendship, as he revealed: ‘I think the worst time was when she had anxiety about leaving the house and she felt like she was imprisoned in her own home.

‘We both didn’t drive at the time so we had to get taxis everywhere so that was another added stress and we couldn’t sort of escape quick, we didn’t have a car there.’
