Helena Christensen paid tribute to her late ex-boyfriend Michael Hutchence on the 23rd anniversary of his death.
The model, 51, took to Instagram on Sunday to share Polaroid snaps with the late INXS frontman, who tragically took his own life aged 37 in 1997, and reflected that he was a ‘beautiful and kind man’.
In sweet black-and-white snaps the pair hugged each other closely, while one photo saw Michael plant a kiss on Helena’s cheek as they posed together.

Sharing a poignant caption about Michael, she wrote: ‘Am organizing hundreds of Polaroids and came across these, today of all days.
‘Michael was a very beautiful and kind man, incredibly gifted and soulful. We had the best time and laughed a lot in the years we spent together but eventually we just drifted apart.’
Reflecting on their relationship, she went on: ‘I think I felt too young for the responsibility it takes being with someone older who lived a very different life. And he probably felt something similar.

Michael and Helena dated between 1991 and 1995, before he embarked on a tumultuous relationship with Paula Yates, with whom he welcomed his only child, daughter Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, now 24.
When Tiger Lily was 16 months old, Hutchence hanged himself at the Ritz Carlton in Sydney, hours after allegedly rowing with Paula’s ex-husband Bob Geldof over the phone.

Geldof reportedly refused to allow his three daughters to travel to Australia for Christmas – and Paula refused to bring Tiger without them.
Paula would die of an accidental heroin overdose three years later, and Geldof was granted custody of Tiger Lily.
Prior to being in a relationship with Helena, Michael dated Kylie Minogue who was just 19 when the pair first started dating.

In 1998, Helena began a relationship with actor Norman Reedus, who is known for his role in The Walking Dead, and with whom she shares her son Mingus with.
The couple were together for five years but split in 2003, though they continue to co-parent their 21-year-old son.
Since 2016, Norman has been dating Diane Kruger, and the pair share a one-year-old daughter whose name they have not disclosed publicly.
