Throwback: His new look is a far cry from his sleeked back long-haired on the 90s teen drama

Heartbreak High heartthrob doesn’t look like this anymore! Actor Scott Major looked unrecognisable in a Cameo video. He had long hair hidden under a cap and a scraggly beard – a far cry from his sleeked back long-haired on the 90s teen drama

In the footage, he showed off a long greying hair and a scraggly beard, and wore a baseball cap and knit jumper.

‘I would like to be part of the reboot,’ he said.

‘In fact, I’ve contacted the producers. I’ve contacted the production company, I’ve contacted the CEO. I’ve basically said I will do anything.’

Scott then joked: ‘But maybe they don’t want me? Maybe I’m not talented enough? Maybe my time at Heartbreak High is finished.

‘I hope not because I’d really like to be part of it. I’d really love to be Rivers again or just in front of a camera or something, I don’t know.’

He continued: ‘I’m so happy they’re making it again and I hope that it captures the essence the original one captured.’

Scott also reflected on his role, saying: ‘As [Peter] Rivers I was cool and hip and I used to wear flannels with one arm and a hat with no peak.

‘I guess I’m getting older – not that you’d notice because I don’t look much older.’

Since starring in Heartbreak High, Scott has featured in local dramas such as Blue Heelers, Always Greener and long-running soap Neighbours.

He has also stepped behind the camera to direct episodes of Neighbours, as well as the recently axed AFL-themed drama Playing for Keeps.
