Harry Potter star Tom Felton, 31, shares amazing throwback snap from The Borrowers’ 1997 premiere… complete with Nineties-appropriate curtains, white suit and black shirt

He soared to fame as the wicked Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone in 2001 and subsequently the following seven movies.

Yet Tom Felton’s dazzling movie career did not begin in Hogwarts, as he previously starred in 1997 kids’ blockbuster The Borrowers, alongside Hollywood heavyweights John Goodman and Jim Broadbent.

On Sunday, the actor, 32, was feeling nostalgic for his younger years as he shared a snap from the premiere on The Borrowers – in which he was donning a crisp white suit with matching bowtie and a black shirt underneath.

Drac-NO Malfoy: Tom Felton’s dazzling movie career did not begin in Hogwarts, as he previously starred in 1997 kids’ blockbuster The Borrowers and on Sunday he shared a throwback snap to the film’s premiere

Tom was every inch the baby-faced, burgeoning star in the snap taken at the premiere in his super Nineties ensemble.

He added a caption reading: ‘Thanks to all the followers, old & new I love you x’.

The Borrowers’ synopsis reads: ‘A family is in trouble when a lawyer plans on destroying their home in order to build a complex. However, a group of miniaturised humans living below their floorboards, vow to save the house.’

The snap comes shortly after it was revealed that Tom, who is estimated to have a £28million net worth, still cashes in on his Harry Potter fame as it’s revealed he is charging fans £200 for a personal shout-out video.

He is selling personalised video messages on Cameo- and he has a 4.9 star review.

One fan wrote: ‘Tom, your video was absolutely perfect for Chloe. It brought such a smile to her face when she saw her favourite Slytherin pop up onscreen. It’s something she’ll treasure for a long time.’

Another added: ‘THANK YOU!!! The Wizarding World is our daughter’s escape from her struggles with Asperger’s and social anxiety. You will never know what it means to us as parents to have someone like you take the time to do this for her.

‘Truly, thank you from not just the bottom of my heart, but from my whole heart. I just may have to rethink my stance on Draco Malfoy. 😉 Just kidding. You are SO AWESOME!!!’.

MailOnline contacted Tom’s representatives for comment at the time.
