Just a day after the season finale of LEGO Masters, host Hamish Blake is sharing some behind the scenes secrets with fans.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the 38-year-old host revealed there are plenty of scenes that never make it to air.

Sharing a photo of himself in a long brunette wig and fake moustache, Hamish revealed his curious disguise was from one such scene. 

Revealing all: Just a day after the season finale of LEGO Masters, host Hamish Blake (pictured)  is sharing some behind the scenes secrets with fans 

‘Thank you so much to those who watched LEGO Masters and the lovely messages people have sent,’ he began. 

‘We just have so much fun making this show, to the point you could possibly argue we get a bit carried away. 

‘Like this bit that never made it to air where I pretended to be contestant Alex and tried to talk up how terrific the host was.’

He added: ‘A great example that lots of stuff doesn’t make it to air for good reason!’

He said the scenes that do get shown are all ‘because of a truly amazing bunch of people’. 

Hamish went on to give his heartfelt thanks to the fans of the show, as well as the cast and crew.    

‘At the end of the day it’s a show about creating things. It’s a real honour to get to make it, and it’s even more of an honour to see that it sparks people to go and make stuff of their own,’ he continued.

Alex and Jackson were crowned the winners of LEGO Masters on Monday night, taking home a cash prize of $100,000 and a trophy completely made of LEGO.
