Hamish Blake gets Guzman y Gomez to implement a new burrito deal after gatecrashing the company’s executive Zoom meeting

Hamish Blake got more than he bargained for when he hijacked the executive Zoom meeting for one of Australia’s biggest Mexican restaurant chains this week.

The comedian, 38, has been entertaining fans with an Instagram video series called Zoom For One More, in which Hamish gatecrashes video conferences and surprises participants with his own suggestions for their business.

Zoom is a video conferencing tool used by many professionals to host meetings for small or large teams remotely.

On Thursday’s episode, Hamish left bosses at Guzman y Gomez stunned after he broke into their Zoom meeting to boldly weigh in on the brand’s ‘billion burrito giveaway’ campaign.

His unexpected drop-in was met with laughter and applause as he pretended to have knowledge about the brand’s marketing strategy.

‘I absolutely bloody love the idea of a billion burrito giveaway.  I think it’s great and I think it’s what the country needs!’ he declared, sending the staff-members into hysterical laughter.

‘Have you tried our $9.90 burritos yet. Hamish?’ one female executive jokingly asked.

Feigning a stern expression, Hamish replied: ‘Alright, let’s not turn this into an internal marketing exercise. We’re all top level executives, we don’t need to tell each other the deals.’

Miraculously, Guzman y Gomez launched their $9.90 burritos and burrito bowls through Menulog on Wednesday.
