Back in March, Australian comedian Hamish Blake promised he was going all out for his wife Zoë Foster’s 40th birthday celebrations.
And on Tuesday, the 38-year-old funnyman revealed how he treated his better half on her big milestone.
Hamish said he surprised the beauty guru with a piece of toast featuring a single candle, along with eighty cents and a half-eaten banana.

‘Surprised my wife with breakfast this morning for her 40th,’ he wrote before adding, ‘It was a classic joke and she said ”bravo, no need for a gift” several hundred times.’
But the Melbourne-based comedian then treated Zoë to her real surprise, a large cream cake featuring roses and cherries on top and an array of flowers.
‘But then this was breakfast so I didn’t get sacked. I mean divorced. No, I probably mean sacked,’ he cheekily wrote alongside the photo.

Uploading a photo alongside his doting wife, Hamish wrote: A real man holds up his wife’s iso-birthday-self-portrait-glitter-wall-backdrop! And by god, it’s an honour.’
‘Happy 40th to my queen Zoë,’ he continued.
‘A true total babe legend, you give so much zing and light to the world, the least I can do is hold up some shiny streamers to reflect a bit of it. I love you more than you loved woofing that cake.’

During a guest appearance of Hughesy, We Have A Problem, Hamish asked host Dave Hughes for advice about what to get her for the milestone celebration.
While ideas of buying her jewellery, Dave shared his unique suggestion – getting a tattoo on his backside.

Hamish agreed and joked: ‘Nothing says I love you like, “I was going to do it anyway and then I got peer pressured in the moment”.’
He revealed he wanted a ‘tasteful’ tattoo, explaining: ‘I think a “Z” in a love heart on the a**e is probably the best way to go.’
As the design was being drawn, Hamish look down the barrel of the camera lens and addressed his beauty guru wife, saying: ‘This was on the cards to get you obviously for your 40th. I wouldn’t be damaging my body if I didn’t love you.
‘I mean, you gave your body for the children. I helped a little bit… so it’s the least I can do to show my love to the love of my life,’ he added.
