Bruised was truly a labor of love for Halle (born Maria), who ‘broke some bones’ in November while shooting action scenes as her disgraced MMA fighter character Jackie Justice.

Jackie must conquer her demons, face one of the fiercest rising MMA stars, and reunite with her estranged six-year-old son Manny in the Rocky-style drama.

10-year-old Good Girls star Danny Boyd Jr. – who plays Manny – thanked and congratulated Berry and shared a #TBT snap from the moment they met via FaceTime last fall.

The John Wick 3 action star’s Instagram post received well wishes from members of the Bruised cast like Shamier Anderson, Valentina Shevchenko, and Gabi Garcia.
