Goldie Hawn gets tickled by longtime love Kurt Russell as she launches Laughing Challenge

Goldie Hawn got tickled by her longtime love Kurt Russell as she launched a Laughing Challenge on Instagram.

The 74-year-old actress encouraged fans to post videos of themselves or their families laughing to alleviate tension and sadness amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

But as she tried to make the announcement in an Instagram video Kurt, 69, kept lowering a branch into the frame and brushing it against her to make her giggle.

Goldie, who became a star on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In in the 1960s, told her fans she had a ‘really, really good idea.’

She explained: ‘I know laughter is like so important. It helps so many parts of our being and it’s great for our health.’

The Shampoo star said that ‘if we could just laugh just once a day – you know, a baby laughs on an average of 72 times a day. This is something I read. And I wonder, where did that laugh go?’

She continued: ‘So let’s just do a challenge, all of us, and if you could film your kids laughing, you laughi- ‘

At that moment Kurt, who was wearing a mask and gloves despite the fact he and Goldie were in their own home, brushed her face with his tree branch.

Goldie kept laughing when she was tickled but also kept playfully telling her man to ‘Stop it!’ and ‘Go away from me!’

Kurt eventually hung a mask from his branch and dangled it in front of Goldie, admonishing her: ‘You need to wear your mask.’

‘Oh my god, honey, we live together, okay?’ she pointed out, although she eventually caved and put the face covering on.

Giggling behind her mask she said: ‘Laugh guys and shoot it and put it all over and let everybody know that there is a piece of us that everyday can feel happier.’

Goldie wrote in her caption that laughing can ‘decrease stress,’ and that it ‘boosts immunity, lowers stress hormones, decreases pain, relaxes your muscles, prevents heart disease, eases anxiety and tension, improves mood, strengthens resilience, draws you closer to people and strengthens relationships.’

She continued: ‘Nothing works faster to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh! Even in the most difficult of times, a laugh can go a long way toward making you feel better.’

Goldie and Kurt have been together since 1983 and have starred in multiple movies together including the romantic comedy Overboard and the war drama Swing Shift.
