It was announced last year that she is set to reprise her Tony Award-winning role of Norma Desmond in the film remake of Sunset Boulevard.
And close friends Glenn Close and Andrew Lloyd Webber stepped out in New York City on Thursday after enjoying brunch at Jean-Georges.
Glenn, 72, looked effortlessly chic in an all-black ensemble of a long tailored coat, trousers and a tartan shirt.

She finished her look with a pair of chunky shoes and stylish grey sunglasses for her outing.
Meanwhile legendary composer Andrew, 71, looked low-key in a pair of jeans, trainer and a burgundy coloured top.
The duo, who first worked together on Andrew’s 1993 Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard, are said to be teaming up for a film version of the critically-acclaimed musical this year.

It was announced in 2019 that Glenn would be reprising her role as Norma Desmond in the movie produced by Andrew.
Talking to Variety at the time, she said: ‘We plan to start shooting this year sometime… [Norma Desmond] is infinite, I’ve had such a journey with her. In some ways the second time I did it I was rehearsing for the movie.’
Glenn added about whether fans can expect a new song: ‘I don’t know. That will depend on screen time, I think. I know Andrew will be there in the trenches probably doing new orchestrations and certainly he’ll write the score, but I can’t say that yet.’
There has been no updates about the movie or a release date for the film since, although this could be due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

Just last week, Andrew delayed the premiere of his new West End musical adaptation of Cinderella, starring Carrie Hope Fletcher, to October.
He said: ‘The show will go on sale next week as planned, but in the current global circumstances the creative team and I feel that this later opening date is wise.’
Glenn starred as Norma, an actress desperate for a comeback, in Andrew’s 1993 Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard. She held the role until 1994 and earned her third Tony Award.
The 101 Dalmatians star reprised the role in 2016 for an English National Opera production in London where she earned her first ever Olivier Award nomination.
Sunset Boulevard the musical is based on the 1950 film of the same title, it opened in London in 1993 and won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
Meanwhile the classic film, directed by Billy Wilder, starred Gloria Swanson as the lead Norma Desmond and received 11 Oscar nominations, with three wins, in 1950.
