It comes after it was claimed that the Spice Girls’ Australian tour has been ‘cancelled’ after Geri reportedly ‘refused’ to sign up for the shows because she ‘doesn’t need the cash’.

According to The Daily Telegraph, negotiations with Australian promoters have fallen through.

‘It never really got off the ground though because of Ginger [Spice],’ an insider told the publication.

The 90s band is said to have turned down millions of dollars by rejecting lucrative offers from Australia’s biggest tour promoters.

Geri is reportedly the second-richest band member after Victoria Beckham, and is worth an estimated $57 million (£46 million).

It comes after Mel B falsely announced that the Spice Girls would be coming to Australia early next year.

The 44-year-old singer, also known as ‘Scary Spice’, made the brazen announcement at the band’s final London show in June.

‘We’ll see you in February in Australia!’ she declared at the end of the concert.

However, weeks later in an interview with 2DayFM’s Breakfast With Grant, Ed & Ash, Mel admitted that nothing had been confirmed.

‘My thing is, and I’ve got a bee in my bonnet about it, is that we need to come to Australia first out the gate,’ she told the radio program.

‘I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100 per cent, but I figured if I put it out there maybe it’s going to happen!’
