The former voice of Big Brother has revealed the reason Channel Seven didn’t bring him back for the reboot of the TV juggernaut.

On Sunday, Leon was asked about his absence by fans who weren’t too fond of the new Big Brother.

‘Any reason why they dropped you?…I had to switch off,’ one asked over Twitter.

To his surprise, Leon offered a reply: ‘Going in a new direction’ before offering the somewhat shady hashtag: ‘#yathink?!’

In a video clip he posted online, Leon added: ‘This is the real Big Brother and I’ve finally revealed my true identity on Cameo.

Cameo is a platform which allows customers to order a personalised greeting from a celebrity for a small fee.

‘So if you’ve always wanted to put your partner in the diary room, send your sibling to the naughty corner, or nominate your real housemate for eviction,’ he added.

‘Head to cameo and I’ll do it for you. That is all for now.’

Leon had worked on the reality show since 2004, first as crew and later in the title role of Big Brother from 2008.

He also did the voiceover for embattled amusement park Dreamworld and discount pizza chain, Eagle Boys.
