Five Bedroom’s quirky but lovable housemates could be back on our screens sooner than anticipated after production of season two resumed in Melbourne this week.

The Australian comedy series had previously been forced to shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But fans can breathe sigh of relief, as cast member Hugh Sheridan, 34, took to social media on Tuesday to reveal that he was back on set.

The cast and crew are no doubt thrilled to be back on set, but they will all have to adhere to strict rules when it comes to hygiene and social distancing.

Co-creator Michael Lucas tweeted on Sunday: ‘Scripts are tweaked, hand santizer is stocked and our amazing cast is ready to walk back into scenes they began three months ago. Trust me it’ll be seamless…’

The series tells the story of a group of very different people who all decide to buy a house together and live as a group.
