First look! The Block contestants put the final touches on their renovated Brighton homes as luxurious houses are set to sell for more than $3.5 million

This year’s season of The Block is yet to hit the screens, but fans can already get a glimpse of the luxuriously renovated houses as they near completion.

The contestants are currently putting the final touches on their Brighton homes, which are expected to sell for more than $3.5 million at auction. 

Now Instagram account brighton_3186 has shared a series of photos showcasing the newly renovated facades of the homes.

‘Waking up to a new front yard…the teams have smashed it this week @theblock,’ the user captioned the pictures. 

The newly renovated homes exude glamour, with one image showcasing a set of stone steps leading up to a small veranda featuring wicker chairs with palm tree cushions. 

Keeping with a coastal vibe, the house also features all white wood paneling with a navy door.

Another photo features what appears to be a different exterior shot featuring a small balcony with a wide brick walkway to it’s left. 

And a third gives fans a glimpse of one of the home’s balconies, featuring chic white and grey outdoor furniture with planters containing succulents and cacti.

Property expert Frank Valentic – who has bought several properties for clients on previous seasons – told the Sunday Herald Sun that this seasons properties contain ‘period details in the front and new, open plan extensions at the back.’ 

He also revealed that this year the properties will feature a self-contained studio above the garage and they all have plans for a pool.  

‘It’s another first for the series to have big backyards with enough space for lap pools,’ he said.

The Block is expected to air in the next few months with auctions expected to take place at the end of spring.
