‘I experienced something which you wouldn’t wish on anyone’: Farmer Wants A Wife’s Neil Seaman reveals his tragic past during an emotional dinner conversation with the girls

Neil Seaman made an emotional confession during Monday’s episode of Farmer Wants A Wife.

Sitting down for dinner, the 43-year-old sheep farmer thought it was time for him to open up to the girls about his tragic past.

‘Half a lifetime ago, I experienced something which you wouldn’t wish on anyone, which has pretty much shaped the person I am today,’ he confessed.

Getting teary, Neil began to speak about his relationship with his former girlfriend, Francine, describing them as being ‘inseparable’.

‘We were so good. One weekend, we’re driving home. I was in the driver’s seat and Francine was beside me,’ he began, pausing to compose himself.

Struggling to contain his emotions, Neil continued with his story, as the girls listened sympathetically.

‘We were hit by a speeding drunk driver running a red light. I woke up in hospital three days later and I asked, “Where’s Francine?”‘ he recounted, his voice breaking.

‘Mum said, “She didn’t make it.” Frankie was the ultimate spark for me, and that’s what I want to get. Nothing less.’

The emotional farmer then stood up and left the table, clearly needing a quiet moment to himself.

He left the women stunned into silence, as they struggled to process what he had just told them.

‘I don’t think anyone could ever have been prepared for that news,’ admitted a shell-shocked Megan, 40.

‘Because 20 years later, he’s still grieving and hurting, and I’m not sure if he’ll ever get over that completely.’
