Tahlia Rubio was axed from Channel Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife reboot during its very first episode.

But despite being rejected by farmer Alex Taylor, the stunning model, 23, claims they have remained in contact.

‘Alex and I are just mates, we chat here and there,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

EXCLUSIVE: Farmer Wants A Wife star Tahlia Rubio (pictured) has revealed what REALLY happens on the reboot’s set and why she’s still in contact with farmer Alex Taylor

Alex, who is a sheep and cattle farmer from Cunnamulla in South West Queensland, was forced to send four ladies home on Sunday’s premiere – which was filmed seven months ago.

‘We chat here and there, but it’s mainly just to check in to see how we are feeling about the show and life in general,’ Tahlia said of her friendship with Alex, 29.

‘In a weird way we [the cast] are all like one big family. We went into this journey to find love together so it’s something unique that we all share,’ she said.

Tahlia also claimed she’s since created a close bond with the ‘incredible women’ she was on the show with, and considers some of them ‘life long friends’.

While Tahlia’s time on the show may have appeared like a blip for most viewers, she claims more than what meets the eye went into creating her one-hour episode.

Past reality TV stars, such as those on Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight and Channel 10’s The Bachelor, have often stated that filming can take long hours or multiple days. It’s unclear if Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife is the same.

However, on an Instagram Story she wrote: ‘You don’t know what it’s like to be filming 15+hours out of the day on multiple days in a row to produce a few snippets of one, one hour episode.’

'We put out hearts on the line and were very vulnerable': Tahlia uploaded an Instagram Story urging viewers of the show to be kind to its loved-up hopefuls as she believes everyone is on their own genuine journey to find love on the wholesome reboot

‘We put out hearts on the line and were very vulnerable,’ Tahlia added, urging viewers of the show to be kind to its loved-up hopefuls as she believes everyone is on their own genuine journey to find love on the wholesome reboot.

‘Be kind to these women and farmers… you cannot judge them as a person based off a reality tv show,’ she said.

Despite not finding love on the series, Tahlia said she felt ‘blessed’ to be part of the reboot and hopes to find Mr.Right outside of the show.
