Farmer Wants a Wife fans mock Madison MacKenzie when she says her ‘walls are up’

‘Why is she on a dating show?’ Farmer Wants a Wife fans mock Madison MacKenzie after she admitted she’s not ready for love as her ‘walls are up’

On Monday’s Farmer Wants A wife, Madison MacKenzie fled dinner with Harry Robertson in tears and admitted she’s not ready for love.

Twice during the show, the 24-year-old Queenslander became withdrawn and complained her ‘walls are up’ due to a past heartbreak with her first and only love.

She refused to feed lambs on Harry’s farm, then left Harry ‘gutted’ when she exited a group dinner to weep alone in her room, admitting that she didn’t trust the farmer.

‘Harry is really nice but it’s hard to be trusting, my walls are still up,’ Madison explained to camera.

And her attitude towards finding new love left many fans baffled as to why Madison has opted to go on a dating show.

One fan Tweeted: ‘I don’t understand why Madison applied for this if she wasn’t ready or willing to take her walls down.’

Despite her tantrums, Harry decided not to send Madison home that night, which left the other girls feeling that he was perhaps being too kind.

‘I’ve tried to help her a lot, there’s only so much I can do really. She needs her own space at the moment to deal with the emotions she’s got going on,’ he said.
