Eve is taking a break from her busy schedule on her hit new ABC series Queens and is going on maternity leave.
The move was made by the actress-rapper, who plays one of the leads roles alongside Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy Norwood, just over two weeks after revealing she’s pregnant with her first child with husband Maximillion Cooper.
It turns out Eve lives in the UK with Cooper, so she has to commute back and forth from across the pond to Atlanta, where the show is being filmed for season one.

According to Deadline, ABC and the show’s producers have been supportive of Eve’s tough schedule, and even adjusted the filming of the show in order to get her into a majority of the first 13 episodes before she went on her leave of absence.
Plus, her character’s storyline was left open-ended so that she could return if the series gets renewed for another season.
Upon delivering her pregnancy news, the Pennsylvania native shared that her due date is in February 2022.

Eve, 42, (born Eve Jihan Jeffers) and Cooper went public with their happy news in an Instagram post on October 15, which showed off her growing baby bump.
‘Can you believe it @mrgumball3000 we finally get to tell everyone!!!!!’ she captioned two photos of herself wearing an ensemble that included a sheer black top and matching hat.
‘You all know how long we’ve been waiting for this blessing!!! We get to meet our lil human February 2022.’
Her husband also shared the same photo on his Instagram, and gushed, ‘Very excited to share this news… we have a lil human on the way!’

Queens made its premiere on ABC on October 19. It follows four women in their 40s who reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had in the ‘90s when they were legends in the hip-hop world.
Just before committing to the musical drama she served as the co-host of the CBS talk show – The Talk – for the past four years. And she has starred in the podcast – Constantly Evolving With Eve – since its launch in October 2020.
