Eva Mendes flashes a ring on her engagement finger during hike with Ryan Gosling and daughters

Eva Mendes and her partner of nearly a decade Ryan Gosling were spotted enjoying a family hike in Los Feliz, California on Thursday afternoon.

The notoriously private couple were joined by their two daughters Esmeralda Amada, six, and Amada Lee, four, as they carefully navigated the dirt terrain.

And the 46-year-old actress, while adjusting her youngest daughter’s face mask, flashed a ring on her engagement finger.

Despite the length and exclusivity of their relationship, Eva and the 40-year-old La La Land star have famously abstained from marriage.

But with a shiny band on that infamous finger, the Hitch star undoubtedly sparked engagement rumors.

Besides her striking ring, Mendes sported a makeup-free face and a head of voluminous auburn brown hair for the afternoon hike.

Dressing for the environment, Eva rocked a navy blue crewneck sweatshirt, a pair of green track pants, and some neon sneakers.

She mastered mommy multitasking as she walked with one hand wrapped around her daughter’s and the other holding onto her other daughter’s plaid coat.

Ryan, holding onto their oldest daughter Esmeralda’s hand, looked like the ultimate dad in a navy blue sports cap and turquoise fleece jacket.

The Golden Globe-winner also donned a pair of dust-covered black denim jeans and some tan hiking boots.

Eva and Ryan allowed their two daughters to express their individual personalities through their eclectic clothing. 

The entire family made sure to properly mask-up for the outdoor occasion due to the raging coronavirus pandemic and the overwhelming cases in Los Angeles.

Way before welcoming their little ones into the world, Eva and Ryan famously starred alongside one another in the crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines, which commenced filming in 2011.

But, contrary to popular belief, Eva and Ryan had ‘known each other for a while already’ before signing on to the film, as per an interview with OprahMag.com.

‘There’s such special work in The Place Beyond the Pines. We had known each other for a while already, so to work together was really exciting,’ she told the outlet.

Although the couple never explicitly confirmed the start of their relationship in 2011, their frequent PDA-filled outings were enough to satiate their fans.

Mendes and Gosling, just two years after making their red carpet debut, welcomed their first child, daughter Esmeralda, in September of 2014, as per TMZ. 

A year after welcoming Esmeralda, Ryan gushed about life at home with Eva in an interview with Hello!

‘I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with,’ he stressed to the magazine, noting that all the qualities that he looks for in a woman are in the We Own The Night actress.

‘There’s nothing else I’m looking for.’  

In April of 2016, the happy couple joyously celebrated the arrival of their second daughter Amada, which Eva named after her grandmother.

‘My grandmother’s name is Amada, and Esmeralda Amada is the name of our oldest. We had a few names picked out for our new baby, and when she was born, we didn’t feel like those names were her,’ Mendes explained in an interview with Hello!

‘We came up with a few more, even that morning, and tried them out. We were like, “What about Viviana?” But we just kept going back to Amada.’

Over the years, Eva and Ryan have given their devout fans and followers glimpses until their ultra private relationship and home life.

Most recently, Eva revealed to Australia’s Nova 96.9 in October that she ‘never wanted babies before [she] fell in love with Ryan.’

‘And it kind of worked out to where I was 40 and having my first baby. I think I was 42 for the second [child], so it worked out in that way that I had a career and then I change my focus to my family,’ she explained.
