Eric Stonestreet takes no chances as he wears his face masks and gloves

He just finished 11 years of Modern Family, but it was back to reality for Eric Stonestreet on Friday. 

The star, 48, braved the pandemic in Los Angeles wearing a face mask and gloves.   

Not only that, but he was also carrying a handful of even more masks. 

The star was seen walking outside of a building, before stopping momentarily to adjust his red backwards hat.   

Eric strolled out with his jacket slung over one shoulder, a black polo top, slacks, and black sneakers. 

The outing was definitely a far cry from his days starring as Cameron Tucker on the wildly successful ABC series Modern Family, which came to an end after 11 years on Wednesday night.   

Undoubtedly, the finale must have brought up some mixed emotions not only for Eric, but for the rest of the cast. 

Millions of fans gathered around to say goodbye to the Dunphy and Pritchett families, netting the network 7.43 million viewers, according to Deadline. 

Perhaps most impressively, the episode jumped to a 1.6 rating in the adults 18-49 key demographic, which was the show’s highest since the September 2018 season 10 premiere. 

It was a big night on ABC as the series finale led into a special with behind-the-scenes footage titled A Modern Farewell which earned 6.72million viewers.

Now, there is talk of a Modern Family spin-off centered around Cameron and his husband, Mitchell Pritchett, according to a Deadline interview.

Though both executive producers weren’t ready to move forward with a spin-off, they thought Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric’s couple seemed the most likely to work on its own.
