England footballer Jordan Pickford’s fiancé Megan Davison has marked what would have been her wedding day with a sweet snap on Tuesday.
The World Cup hero, 25, and Megan, 23, tied the knot in a registry office in Crewe, Cheshire in March ahead of their big day in the Maldives and a later party in Sunderland – however the coronavirus pandemic has thwarted their plans.
Sharing a throwback to the festivities after their legal ceremony, WAG Megan lamented missing the big day but insisted her fiancé is ‘worth the wait’.

In March, ripped jeans and baseball cap-clad Jordan tied the knot with Megan in a legal ceremony, accompanied by their 15-month-old son Arlo, and only five guests.
Just 25 minutes later, the couple emerged as newlyweds with their nearest and dearest while their friends took photos of the pair on their phones.
An onlooker told The Sun: ‘They didn’t dress to impress. It looked like they were out shopping. It sure wasn’t Premier League! After the photos, the whole wedding party got in a people-carrier and left.’
The source added that Jordan and Megan wanted a ‘low-key’ day to mark becoming husband and wife.

Due to their Maldives plans being cancelled, Megan celebrated their would-be wedding day with a stunning throwback to their more muted ceremony.
She added a caption reading: ‘We’re getting married in the morning…
‘Well we should have been! It’s all gone a bit Pete Tong, so here’s a throwback of us on our legal registry office day since there are bigger things going on in the world right now. You are worth the wait my love @jpickford1’.

A source told the newspaper: ‘Jordan and Megan have been engaged for quite a while. He proposed just before his heroics at the World Cup in 2018.
‘But they put the wedding on hold when Megan fell pregnant with Arlo, who was born in February last year.
‘The wedding in the Maldives will be for close family and friends before a bigger party back in Sunderland, where they both grew up.’
A source previously said that Everton star Jordan was expected to head to Las Vegas for his stag party, joined by some of his England team-mates such as Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker.

The wedding comes just weeks before what would have been the 2020 European Football Championships, which will see England play their first group games at Wembley Stadium.
Megan and Jordan, who live together in Altrincham, Cheshire, have been dating since she was 14 and he was 16 after meetingas pupils at St Robert of Newminster Catholic School, Washington, in Tyne and Wear.
They appeared to announce their engagement when Megan was sported wearing a gorgeous engagement ring during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The couple announced that they had welcomed their son Arlo together in February last year.
